Eitan Eldar: “Football might be back in June – but without spectators”

Recently, the British government released new guidelines, regarding the return of sports, post quarantine

The new guidlines lifted the lockdown policy, and with it, the steps to allow the return of sports. But even though players might soon be back on the field, spectators won’t be allowed until much later.

“This is definitely good news”, says Eitan Eldar, the CEO of EEH Venture. “Even though the lack of spectators will hurt the teams income – we can see the starting phase of returning to normalcy”.

The UK has been in lockdown for six weeks, and on Sunday Prime Minister Boris Johnson allowed the first moves to easing the stay-at-home orders. How many sports enthusiasts are waiting for June so they could watch their favorite sport on TV, and later this year attend live events.

“It migh take a while before spectators will be allowed back in the stadiums and arenas, but at least we can still be entertained by watching live events and root for your favorite team”, says Eitan Eldar.
